My name is Sapo, I’m eight years old. I live in Sinoe County, Liberia, West Africa. I was named after a very special place, Sapo National Park, Liberia’s largest protected area of rainforest. The special thing about Sapo National Park is, it is the only national park in Liberia and contains the second largest area of primary tropical rainforest in West Africa. Most activities are prohibited in the park; like farming, building, fishing, hunting or logging. You can learn more about Sapo National Park by searching the internet or going to the library. You can help save the rainforest by telling others about us.
I’ve made many friends and you will get to meet them at Camp Pootie-Cho. Be sure to visit Adventures @ Camp Pootie-Cho to meet them, especially my best friends, Jenks and Riah. Did I tell you about my little sister? Oh, yes, I have a little sister who’s four; her name is Gola. Isn’t that a funny name?
