We publish our anthologies in paperback and ebook formats. Here are the following guidelines for general submission for publication. We accept submissions year-round and from anywhere in the world.
What we’re looking for:
VTP seeks good literary work in the form of short stories, poems, and essays. Here’s what we want in your story:
- Fictional emotion-filled trouble, cultural-honesty, social ills, or romance
- Connection to the characters
- Stories about people and places, rather than about writing itself
We ask for first-publication rights for online and print, this means that the story should not have appeared anywhere else, either in print or online. (This includes publication on an author’s own website.) When we publish a story, we ask for a period of one year exclusivity (twelve months), and the right to keep the story in print and online.
We consider stories that are up to 10,000 words in length.
There’s no deadline: [except for current calls for submission]
We use submissions that fits each anthology as we receive short stories, poems and essays. When we’ve finished work on each anthology, we move straight on to the next. So the sooner you send in your work, the sooner it’s published.
We accept submissions from all authors; aspiring and seasoned authors.
Multiple and simultaneous submissions:
It’s fine to send us more than one story/poem/essay at a time, however, please DO NOT send them together in one document. Submission(s) must be sent by itself as an attachment; to email@example.com
We aim to respond to all submissions within two weeks. We do understand if you want to submit to more than one publisher at a time; however, please let us know if a story you’ve submitted to us has been accepted elsewhere!
If you’re waiting for a reply from us, please check your junk mail folder, as sometimes emails make their way there. If there’s nothing there, email us: firstname.lastname@example.org. It would be very helpful if you could include your submission title.
Submission fee / Payment:
We do not charge a submission fee nor do we receive any external funding. For now, contributors are not paid for their submissions, however, you receive two complimentary paperback copies and is eligible to purchase additional copies at wholesale price.
What you need to do to get your book published with us…
If you have a book to publish then write to us first, email@example.com OR firstname.lastname@example.org by sending a CV, and a detailed description of your book. The latter should comprise the number of words and/or pages, your target readership, breakdown of contents, a description of the main idea, and as to whether the book contains tables and illustrations. We welcome all authors.
